Reggie Hayes portrays William Dent, Joan's best friend and former colleague as well as the "honorary girlfriend," in UPN's comedy GIRLFRIENDS.

His television experience includes a series-regular role in "Getting Personal" as well as guest-starring roles in "The Twilight Zone," "Will & Grace," "Party of Five," "Roswell," "Married…With Children," "Then Came You," "Grown Ups" on UPN, "Something So Right," "The Pretender" and "Space: Above and Beyond."

Hayes's feature film credits include Spike Jonze's "Being John Malkovich," starring John Malkovich, John Cusack and Cameron Diaz; "A Family Thing" and "Hellcab."

On stage, Hayes has appeared in Chicago productions of "Chicago Conspiracy Trial," "Hellcab Does Christmas," "Bang the Drum Slowly," "Othello," "Five Times Noh," "Any Place but Here," "Less Than Equal," "Native Speech," "No One Goes Mad," "Inspecting Carol" and "Richard II," as well as numerous other Shakespeare productions as a member of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival.

A Chicago native, Hayes studied acting in high school and college. He attended Northwestern Military Naval Academy and Illinois State University, from which he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in theater.

Hayes's interests include working out, shopping ("I'm a shopaholic!") and classic cars. He owns a 1963 Cadillac DeVille convertible.
