Richard E. Grant has the happy knack of always choosing roles which suit him to a "T". He instinctively knows what is right for him and what isn't and has said in interviews that he will take ages deciding whether or not to accept a role.
Some of his most famous ones have brought him great critical acclaim, such as the foppish in public, brilliant in private, Sir Percy in the BBC version of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" in which he played the title role. He was downright scary in "Hound Of the Baskervilles" and showed his humour in a movie with The Spice Girls!
Richard also had a large role in the massive period epic "Gosford Park" and is also very well known as a producer and director, his most notable work being "Wah Wah", a film about his own turbulent childhood. His daughter, Olivia, has followed in his footsteps and is making quite a name for herself as well. An incredibly talented man with an amazing sense of humour and the ability to look closely at himself with the same unwavering insight with which he looks at others. Watch his wor, you will be impressed.
