Richard Horvitz

Some people are known distinctly for their voices. Mel Blanc was known for his voice. Actually 1,000 of them! That of course was nothing short of amazing! June Foray is known for her voice either as an old lady type or as a young boy type. Frank Welker is known for his many animal voices as well as the voice of Fred in "Scooby-Doo." Casey Kasem is known for his radio-D.J.-like voice most notably co-starring with a certain famous canine, Maurice LaMarche is known for his world-conquering like voice, Cree Summer is known for her cool African-American voice, Carlos Alzraqui is known for his friendly demeanor voice, Mr. Lawrence is known for his world-domination grumpy voice, Adam West is known for his crazy person voice, and if Richard Horvitz was to be known for a voice, it would be a manic, crazed, immature kid-like voice! But for him, it's not a bad thing! He got to be Alpha V during the "Power Ranger's" glory days, he got to be Daggett on "The Angry Beavers," he got to be Billy on "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy," and now he gets to be Rodney on "Squirrel Boy." Some actors know when they've got a good thing going for them, and Richard Horvitz just happens to be one of those actors who enjoys voicing the role of manic, crazed, immature kid-like characters and the world of cartoons is a much better place because of it! :idea: Enough said, true believers! ;)

very awesome man! THE main reason why i watch(ed) Zim,Billy and Mandy,and Angry Beavers! he gets to work with Grey,the greatest voice actress ever who voices or voiced Azula, Emily Elizabeth, Frankie Foster, Frida, Mandy, Sam Manson, Vicky, and Yumi, and a lot more.



Anyway,he's the person that made me wanting to be a voice actress. that would be AWWESOME! follow ur dreams,i'm following mine after 6th,(this year) middle school, and high school! anyway,he plays really weird or gross people,that never really make any sense at all. i'm glad Billy West DIDN'T get to voice Zim because he was Fry from Futurama.

He was in The Angry Beavers ( voiced Daggit ), Invader Zim ( voiced Zim ), The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (voiced Billy ) and many more things. Richard is funny man. I think Richard Horitz should be in more shows. Almost all the shows Richard is in I like. Really there is nothing more to say at all.



This is a edited review and is trying to reach the min. after being edited. Now there is a fact of what to write because I want to delete this review. Feel free to delete this review, it was terrible to begin with.

He's one of my favorties because of his voice. he can changes his voice to make it more funnyer. like for Rodney J. squrrel and, Dagget. so many people love him and, his voice including me. I wish to be a great voice actor and, when people ask me "who's your idol?" I'll say..."Richard horvis." yes I will! He's so good he like stars in all the greatist shows and, voice.(also he's good at doing rodneys chirp. And he sneaked it on billy and mandy in the movie "bill;y and mandy's big boogey adventure).I hopes he likes me and my comedic voice when i'm older.

Richard Horvits is the greatest kid show actor of my time. My favorite voice he did was Invader ZIM in the show "Invader ZIM". He was so serious yet insanely funny at the same time. This show aired on nick (2001-2006) but cm back in (2006). Richard also voiced "Dag" or "Daggit" in the once famouse kid show "Angree Beavers" witch also aired on nick (1996-2000) and was a bigger hit. To this day he is acting in animation on the Cartoon Network show 'Squirl Boy" witch, for the record, I do not watch but I supose it may be alright. In this show he plays Rodney the squirl. Richard also shares the role of "Billy" in possiby Cartoon Networks greatest hit "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" I did not lose hope in "Invader ZIM" that it may come back. I rate him 11/10. Richard, you are a man I look up to.

Richard Horvitz is so talented. I know of him from his role "Billy" in the Cartoon Network show "The Grim Adventures if Billy and Mandy." (I've heard some of his other roles, but this is the one of his that I like the best.) Billy is such a crazy and spaztic character with many voice changes, and Richard says them so perfectly. It seems like it would be hard to match Billy's....unique character when recording, but Richard performs the lines so incredibly that he makes it seem to easy and like he does it effortlessly. He truly is a great voice actor.

If you ask me, words can't describe Richard Horvitz. Or his unique voice for that matter. So this review may be a little hard for me to write. Plus, aren't I just your average PuTrId FiLtHy WoRm BaBy ThInG?! Why am I commenting on one of the all-time greats?



I honestly have no stinkin' clue, but I am.



Richard's most famous role is the lovable threat to our way of life, Zim (Invader ZIM). Ironically, another one of his more famous roles is the BEST FRIEND of a lovable threat to our way of life, Billy (The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), as well as his father Harold, who just so happens to be a lovable threat to...well...our intelligence.



If you're asking this putrid filthy worm baby thing's opinion, Richard's one of the best. I'm a huge fan of his work, and I can't wait to see what he does next.

I don't know where to begin! First of all, Horvitz has a very interesting voice, and he does magnificent voice over work, I especially love him in Invader ZIM as Zim, I just think Billy West wouldn't have been the best choice for ZIM. He does a pretty good job on Cartoon Network for Billy and Mandy as Billy, though Billy and Mandy isn't exactly my favorite show, Richard does a really good job! The only voice over work that I really don't like is in Squirell Boy. I mean, what happened to the intense character like ZIM, who are evil. A Squirell seems to good and friendly, it really dosen't suit his voice.

Richard Horvitz is one of my favorite voice actors of the time. A love the voice he did as Billy on The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy. I also like voice of Dagget on Angry Beavers. I dont like squirrel boy but he also did the voice of Rodney on that show. My favoritest show and charater he did was Zim on Invader Zim. I bet Richard Horvitz was proud of himself for being on a awesome show. Richard Horvitz should win a annae award for his increible voice. I love Richard Horvitz as much as Rob paulsen, Jess harnell, Tress macneille, Tara strong, Tom kenny, Matt hill, Samuel vincent, and Tony sampson. What ever he is doing right now, I wish him the best of luck.

I had gotten the game Psychonauts and didn\'t realize that he played the role of Raz, the main character. I think he did a superb job with Raz\'s personality in his voice. When I realized that Richard Horovitz was the voice, I compared Raz to Zim, and found them so unique to each other that I couldn\'t compare the two. Horovitz\'s role as Zim is, in my opinion, his best character. Indeed, he makes a tremendous alien. Zim is my favorite alien.

Dude, this guy is seriously talented! I\'m a huge fan of voice acting and if I had a book full of favorite voice actors, I would put him on the front page! He played a lot of roles in cartoons too. The most memorable one was the role of Zim, I believe. Most people didn\'t know this but he also has a history of doing sketch comedy shows live in California. I saw one of his performances on youtube and it was really funny. He had a dummy with him on the show. I enjoyed it so much that I favorited it on my account.

Richard Steven Horvitz has done many great voices such as Zim on Invader ZIM, Rodney J. Squirrel on Squirrel Boy, and Billy on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. He has also done many video game characters too such as Orthopox in Destroy All Humans, for PS2 and Xbox and he was in Psychonauts, also on PS2 and Xbox. So you could probably say that he does mostly weird characters. I can usually tell that it is Richard Horvitz talking. When I was playing Destroy All Humans, he started talking and I was like \"IT IS ZIM!!\" He even uses the same voice that Zim does.

Richard is one of my favorite voice actors becides Billy West and Kevin McDonald. He provided voices for a lot of videogame characters and tons of TV roles throughout his voice acting career. I also noticed that you rarely see him in live action shows nowadays. I think the last time I saw him was on That's so Raven (even though I don't like that show very much).



Although Richard does play some of my favorite cartoon characters. These include Dag from Angry Beavers, Zim from Invader ZIM, and possibly that little squirrel named Rodney from the new CN cartoon Squirrel Boy.

I love Richard Horvitz so much! He is an awesome person. He is an amazing voice over actor and such a funny guy. He deserves bigger roles. The man is a genius. He also wrote two Billy & Mandy episodes. So that shows he can write too. He is so good to his fans that he has his own forum where he is on there alot. I can\\\'t express enough about this man. I love him!

I liked this guy back when I didn't know who he was. I'm talking about that teddy-bear holding, bunny slipper-wearing, teen/human-hater Alpha 5 from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Ai-yai-yai-yai-yai! I also like him as Billy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, ZIM from Invader ZIM, and Daggett from Angry Beavers.

Richard Steven Horvitz is one of the most talented voice actor's ever. He's one of the few voice actors that can make you laugh without trying. Every role he plays become an instant classic.



There are three roles that I know Richard best from. They are Dagget (Angry Beavers), Zim (Invader Zim), and Billy/Billy's Dad (The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy). Each one of those characters are one of the funniest animated characters on tv. Richard Steven Horvitz shows great skills with switching his voice to match situation.



One thing I hope for is that Richard Steven Horvitz becomes a bigger voice actor and takes his work to the big screen. He is one of the best in the biz.

Richard Steven Horvitz probably is one of the most talented voice actors ever.They have used him in so many cartoons and shows for his excellent voice acting talent.I just dont know how he does all those voices and sometimes sounds different in each voice over.He does so many cool sounds,like animals,machines etc. and they sound so realistic,especially on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy when ever Billy does something stupid and random Richard will always do some sort of sound that sounds hilarious or painful.His coughing wheezing like sound when hes doing the voice of Billy is the coolest thing I have ever heard come out of a humans mouth.Richard is a very talented voice actor and thats why I give him a 10.

One of my favorite voice actors. Can change his voice incredibly. (I heard he got laringitis or something while doing Invader ZIM from cracking his voice so much, poor guy.)Real talent. I admire him a lot. Woohoo for Richard! My favorite voice appearances for him? Zim, from "Invader ZIM", and Daggett from "The Angry Beavers". Anyone who doesnt like his voice acting is FREAKIN LOONY!

This guy is amazing. I mean really he has the weirdest voice I have ever heard. He has had such a diverse career. He did acting first, then animation, and finally he did voice acting. How you do that I have no idea. My favorite character that he does is Dagget off The Angry Beavers who sounds a lot like his real voice and Billy off Billy and Mandy. This guy is awesome!!!

Richard Horvitz has had some really great shows, namely Invader Zim (genius). His voice usage can be played up in all sorts of ways, and I gotta say, it's really funny.



However, where Richard Horvitz fails and Mel Blanc succeeds is in the variety. True, most people want a recognizable voice, Horvitz has maybe one or two voices (high pitched/deep and stupid), whereas Mel Blanc had hundreds, even thousands.



Potentially a big consequence in what Horvitz does is that children can identify with that voice. I.e.: The recent game, Psychonauts, in which Horvitz plays the main character, features some mild language. Because he has that one voice, children that play the game could identify with it, and because he says those things, they could potentially say those things. I'm not big on the idea of taking violence from video games, but identifiable voices can't be too much of a stretch.



Richard Horvitz's voice is truly original and humorous, and hopefully, the world won't see any wannabes.

Richard is easily one of my favorite voice actors. I looove Invader Zim, so that's how I first became interested with him. I discovered he did Dag on the Angy Beavers (which is still a show I love) and now does Billy, on the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (which is a good show too). His voice is so distictive, so you can always tell when he's doing the voice of a certain character. It's a voice you would never think you would ever hear, and it's great!

Richard is jsut the definition of Awsome. Though i cannot say much about him for he worked on power Rangers and that seriously hurts his score, ill still give him a 10 for playing Invader Zim, Dib from Angry Beavers, and lets not forget Orthopox from Destroy all Humans!



His voice just simply works on all levels with everything his voice talent is lent to.
