Birth Name




Rick was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He moved to Philadelphia where he attended St. Joseph's Univerisity, then Temple University where he graduated, majoring in Theatre Arts. He received his MFA in Acting from UMKC and then moved to NYC. Soon, Rick was working in regional theatre, picking up a Barrymore nomination in his college town of Philadelphia for the Wilma Theatre's THE TIN PAN ALLEY RAG. After a successful run of a new Maria Irene Fornes play off-Broadway, Wasserman landed his first Broadway show, THE LION KING. While in the show, Rick found time for guest starring roles in many television shows including LAW & ORDER and MADIGAN MEN with Gabriel Byrne. After a number of years, Rick moved to L.A. to continue THE LION KING at the Pantages Theatre and pursue more film and TV. It wasn't long before Wasserman took on recurring roles on 24 and THE DISTRICT. Rick continues his television career (THE CLOSER, SWINGTOWN) and his film career (TEN TIL NOON) while keeping up a busy voice-over career which includes trailers (RAY, HAIRSPRAY, STEP UP, etc.) and promos (AMC, HBO, FOX SPORTS, FOOD NETWORK, etc.)
