Rob is a horrible person and I think he is a ridiculous waste of space on my favourite reality TV shows. First he comes and ruins what would otherwise be a great season of survivor (getting rid of Lex...) and then he pops up on my other favourite reality TV show - The Amazing Race. He played a dirty game on survivor without a doubt, which I think he should have been rewarded for (cos Amber did nothing - stupid coattail rider) but then he becomes worse on the Amazing Race. I was absolutely horrified when he didn't even bother to stop when Brian and Greg flipped their car. Hello? Everyone else stopped, and asked if they were okay, and Lynn and Alex (two great Amazing race stars) actually were willing to sacrifice their place because they knew stopping was the right thing to do. Then the producers - oh my God - actually wanted them back! When i found that out, I'm screaming saying "This is not happening, this is not happening!" but they got eliminated early so yay. Rob has no decency or compassion and I think while he is charming (hello, he got Amber) I think he just needs to realise that people get a lot further by being nice. Which is actually why Uchenna and Joyce and got further than you on BOTH Amazing Race editions!
I don't understand why people like this guy so much. What's so appealing about him? All he does is backstab people on the shows he's on. Not to mention his voice gets on my nerves (i.e. he always talks like he's got a mouthful of marbles). On top of that, the showbiz people keep on offering him deals for his own show (first 'Rob & Amber' on Fox Reality, and now he's hosting an upcoming reality comp to be called 'Tontine'). What's up with that??
If anyone wants to look up to a reality star, they should try looking up to somebody who has a likeable and decent personality, like Rupert Boneham; Heck, even Big Brother's Evel D. Donato is more respectable than Rob is!
In closing, I just feel that Boston Rob is just a poor man's Jonny Fairplay with a Boston accent, and he doesn't deserve all the hype and love people have been giving him.
I knew Rob was a piece of trash from the first time I saw him on Survivor. Then he wound up on All-Stars, a show he never should have even been on, and my dislike of him grew exponentially. Then came the reunion show, and even though he lost he stole the spotlight by proposing to Amber in what was obviously a contrived scene. And that should have been the end of it. The guy has no charisma, and no on-screen presence, so now that he was finished with Survivor he should have just gone away. He didn't.
His nonsense continued with The Amazing Race, and then he and Amber felt the need to get married on TV. Wasn\'t there a time when things like that were private experiences that were shared only with friends and relatives? Yet somehow Rob (and Amber) found a way to make money off of this and continue their TV "career." Then he gets a segment on The Morning Show. Now he's on Sci Fi Investigates. Why? Do people really get such a kick out of seeing this clown on their TV screens? Anyone who's really that impressed with him should just offer him a few bucks to come over and entertain them. After all, it's quite obvious that it's all about the money for him.
Rob and Amber have achieved what Trista and Ryan Sutter tried to get and failed. They're a reality show-created couple who are apparently still interesting enough to people that they keep winding up on TV. Sooner or later, though, people will outgrow them, and then we'll just see where they stand.
When is Rob's 15 minutes of fame finally going to end? This clown was annoying in every reality show he has ever done. I am now hearing that he and his bride, Amber are going to do another reality show for Fox Reality where we are going to follow them around all day. BARF!!!
Rob needs to go away. He managed to con his way into Amber's Heart and get his grubby hands on her money. He has no talent and if it was not for reality TV making him a star, he would either be shoveling dog crap out of city parks or ironing clothes for Bubba at the state pen.
Rob's 15 minutes of fame is over and it is time we get his ugly mug off our TV's.
Rob is not just one of the all time greats. He is the all time great. Every time he competes on a Reality TV programme, he controls the game from start to finish. Despite his dopey sounding accent, he is the most brilliant Reality TV contestant in the history of Reality TV. Although some mock him for having so many chances at winning millions of dollars and always losing, he has definitely won in my heart. The best thing about Rob is that his opponents always know that he is out to get them and they constantly try to foil him but end up playing right into his schemes unknowingly. If only he wasn\'t married to the most boring person ever...
