Ron Lea was born in Montréal and went to Concordia University, before moving on to take acting training at the National Theatre School. He studied theatre in Montréal, Quebec before beginning a career in television, radio and film as well as theatre. On stage he was at Centaur Theatre playing lead roles in Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and the premiere of Vittorio Rossi 's Scarpone as well as at the Saidye Bronfman Centre in Death and The Maiden. He was nominated for a Gemini Award as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the series Street Legal, in which he played crown counsel Brian Malony. Mr. Lea is comfortable working in French as well, and has appeared in several French-language films and television shows. He now lives in Van Nuys, California.
