Rory Cochrane

I only know Rory Cochrane from his role as Tim Speedle on CSI: Miami. That's pretty much the only show he was starring in according to his 'appearance' list. And his acting out this role wasn't really good, by the way.



He always had this pissed-off attitude about him. I don't know whether this was Tim Speedle's personality or Rory Cochranes. Either way, this made him totally unlikeable. Whenever he was talking to a (supposedly) suspect, spectator, or witness he had this kind of I-dont-care-what-you-think-cause-Im-a-CSI look on his face.



The summit of his annoyance was the episode 'Wannabe' in Season 2:



He interrogated this little (btw harmless) wannabe CSI. Throughout the whole time he talked to the guy in a condescending manner. Then, the next day they had to show up in court. In the elevator Horation told Speedle that the little geek wouldn't be coming. To which Speedle excruciatingly annoying replied: "Why? Does he want us to pick him up?" But it turned out that he was found dead. At the end of the episode, however, Speedle was portrayed as the only one who ever believed in the little geek and that he had a special relationship with him. What in the world???



All in all, I think Rory Cochrane is heavily overrated. I have to admit that I'm glad that the writers decided to kill his character off and replace him with Ryan Wolfe, who is way cooler, IMO.

Rory's portrayal of Speedle was boring and one-dimensional. Same sullen demeanor and boring personality in every episode. I was glad to see him go. My cat has more personality than Speedle. Hopefully David Caruso and his sunglasses will be next. Or better yet, maybe David will leave the show too and go pursue his nonexistent movie career! Haha. For some reason I still love the original CSI and the characters. I watch CSI: Miami since it is interesting from time to time, but the second season just bored me to tears. And, I am getting tired of the writers ending to go to a commercial by having Caruso put his sunglasses on his face. It was a fun technique at first but its old now. Think of something else, like a window falling on Horatio's head or his new found brother killing him off and taking his place. I find Dean Winters much more captivating as an actor and has more depth in his right arm than Caruso has in his whole body. Send Caruso to an acting institute where he can meet up with Rory.

Rory's portrayal of Tim Speedle on CSI: Miami was just spectacular even if it was only for about fifty episodes. Rory played a character who's personality and dry, sarcastic humor made him memorable. It's been three years since Rory left CSI: Miami and fifty more episodes, but I believe that I speak for almost every Rory Cochrane and Tim Speedle fan out there when I say the show just isn't the same without the constant dry humor and sarcasm that he brought to the show. And as a CSI: Miami episode made after the third season premiere appears on Rory's credit page, fans begin to hope.

I really do wish that he had stayed on Miami, and not left. He was my favorite and still is, even though he is dead. When he played Tim Speedle I really liked the show and now it seems like it is slipping. He gave it this unexplaianble glow, that I wish had gone on longer. I think that Tim Speedle was an excellent character on the show, and now well...it is very different from when the show first started. It is sort of depressing to think that he left the show to work on a movie career, that hasn't really taken off.

I think that Rory is awesome. He was great on CSI:MIAMI and I was sad when he was killed off of it. When I saw Lost son I cried and my sister made fun of me but she just didn't understand how sad it was. He was never going to be on Miami again and that was what was so sad. He is very hot and was my favorite character, actually he still is even though he is dead. The new guy (Ryan Wolff) on CSI:MIAMI is cool but I love Speed and no one could replace him. I wish that they could have an episode where his murder comes up and they all have to deal with it. That would rock. Rory is awesome and was great in his role of Tim Speedle, AKA Speed.

I loved Rory Cochrane in CSI:Miami and he should not have asked to be wrote off but he did and now he is not on it. Rory Cochrane will be starring in 'A Scanner Darkly' and 'Right At Your Door' some time later on in the year.

Rory Cochrane is an under rated, very talented celebrity and should be given more credit for the movies he has starred in (even if only for a short period of time) and will star in. Rory will be greatly admired by a lot of people and has got great roles waiting for him in the future.

I love him! He is such a wonderful, talented and versatile actor! He was highly underused on CSI: Miami and i am glad he decided to quit! Though i miss seeing him every week as Tim Speedle, i am happy that he chose to go back to his roots which are indie movies.

He is brilliant, any role he does he does beautifully! If you've never caught, Empire ,do so its an Awesome Movie. I loved him as Lucas and I loved how all the characters played together. I loved his attitude in it. I'd love to see him more comedy movies! Just 3 more words DAMN THE MAN!!!

And as far as TVDave2005 goes. I Really would like to see him acting. Can he beat David Caruso or Rory Cochrane. I think not..Rory has done great work in all his roles. And as Tim Speedle, we see his ironic humor, charm and acting skills. I for one, will miss him as Tim Speedle but I´m also looking forward to see him challenge new parts on the screen

Well, firts of all I wanna make clear that I'm not makeing any personal threats or anything, just that TVDave2005, I so dissagree with you. Yes people can have different oppinions, but to insult them like that, it's not nice...



From my friend that's also a rory lover "if you're going to insult them, you had better be prepared to do a better job than them if you think it was so bad." and that's my oppinion too, if you think they're so bad, do it beter than... but I doubt you can, because DAvid and Rory are two very tallanted people. I'm not defending them or anything, just expression my thoughts.

and bout Tim Speedle haveing no personality, well maybe the character was written like that, ever thought of that.. well I'm here to say that I love both Davy and Rory, and that I wish that I had their tallents in acting, because if I had, I'd be in Hollywood by know.. trus me..

and if the shades bugged you so much, why didn't you just stop watching the show?

What can I say. Speedle is a wonderful actor and a great asset to the show. It was awfull when He was killed off.I actually cried.

You will always be my favorate.

Hey It would be great to see you in your own show. I meen get you a side kick and come up with a great new cop or dr show.

I would like to see him in something else real soon. It is a waste not to have him on the tv.

he should've never left the show. it made no sense because he is doing a very good job on his character. now that he left the show, he is not allowed to be in other tv show for four long years. where am i suppose to catch him now???

Rory Cochrane should have never left this show! I thought his character was wonderful and should have been used more, not to mention he is FINE!

I adore him in anything he has done, and can't wait to see both movies he has coming out next year! It's too bad he didn't want to come back-his character had a lot of potential-but I will definately be watching him in anything else he does!
