There is something of Rory in all of us, to certain levels. A master of English comedy, and an underrated comedic wit of our time. Typical by being untypical, dry and humorous, sharp and quick, cutting, but with a lovable roguishness that warms to his almost clownish looks of stout body, curly hair and beard. For anyone of middle age, Rory seems to have been around in some form since childhood, and thus just like life, has grown and become something of an institute, almost a national treasure. Like most treasures, probably only really appreciated after they have made their exits. But nonetheless an acerbically talented writer and comedian, born of these shores.moreless
