In 2006, Premiere magazine ranked Rosalind's performance in His Girl Friday at No.29 on their list of the "100 Greatest Performances of All Time".

At the 1971 Oscars ceremony Rosalind accepted Helen Hayes' Oscar for Best Supporting Actress on her behalf as she was to frail to attend the ceremony.

When she was promoting the film Picnic, Rosalind refused to be allowed to be put in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars and subsequently didn't receive a Best Actress nomination.

Rosalind hosted the 30th Academy Awards in 1958 alongside Jack Lemmon, Bob Hope, David Niven and James Stewart. It was the first Oscars ceremony to be broadcast live.

Rosalind attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

Rosalind received the honorary Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences in 1972.

Rosalind is buried in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, California.

Rosalind has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1708 Vine Street.
