- Was originally hired to play Arthur Adamson in Sir 'Alfred Hitchcock' 's last movie, Family Plot (1976), but the legendary director was dissatisfied with his performance and fired him one month into the filming. He was replaced by William Devane. Thinnes still appears in several existing publicity stills from the production.
