In Comic Relief Does The Apprentice 2009 Ruby was responsible for creating the Female team's winning child game 'Stick Stuck.' She was the one who initially suggested they create a toy where children velco themselves to each other based on the role of a dice.

In 2005, Ruby starred in the West End in a production of Roald Dahl's The Witches. She played the Grand High Witch in a five-week run.

In February 2004, Irish broadcaster Patricia Danaher sued Ruby for maximum damages of £26,600 (38,000 euro). The incident had occured back in 2000 when Danaher interviewed Wax. Wax disapproved of some of the comments made by Danaher during the interview and demanded that it was never broadcast. Wax then went on to make slanderous allegations that were relayed to Ms Danaher's employers.
The slander case was settled out of court and Wax gave a full apology. The amount paid to Danaher was not disclosed.
