Ryan Carnes

Ryan is an only child.

Ryan is 5' 9" (1.75 m).

He stars in the video for the song Mistake by Australian actress/singer Stephanie McIntosh.

He said he would happily partake in a gay love scene with Colin Farrell.

He went to Duke University for two years.

He writes lyrics and as of 2006 is currently collaborating with several other musicians on their first project.

He is an accomplished drummer of 15 years.

In the fall of 2006 Ryan worked on filming a half-hour comedy pilot for NBC called Grand Union.

After dedicating the better part of his formative years to sports, music, and academia, Ryan was encouraged by his current manager Jon Simmons, to move to Los Angeles.

He was born and raised in Pitsfield, Illinois, a small, rural community of 4,300.

For his first gay role, Ryan did full-frontal nudity in the 2004 indie gay comedy Eating Out, directed by Allan Brocka, which is garnering good reviews.

In 2003, Ryan did a national campaign for Nintendo, both in print and commercials. Since then, Ryan has dedicated himself to studying his craft and pursuing his dream to be a working actor.

He was the ninth actor to portray Lucas Jones on the ABC soap opera General Hospital from July 2004 until September 2005. After he left General Hospital, he was replaced by Ben Hogestyn.

He left his role in General Hospital as Lucas Jones because he found out that his character was going to be coming out. He didn't want to be typecast for his roles in Desperate Housewives and Eating Out.

Though Ryan is not gay, he say's that he feels comfortable playing gay roles, which include his appearances in Desperate Housewives and in the movie Eating Out.
