As a Canadian I am very proud that Ryan is the first Canadian to be nominated for a lead actor Oscar in over 60 years. As much as I love Leo DiCaprio and as much as he finally deserves an Oscar, I can't help but want Ryan to take that award. It's about time he was recognized for his work. After all the amazing movies he has done: the Believer, Stay, The Notebook, The United States of Leland, and many more including Half Nelson, It's nice to know people are starting to pay attention.
Ryan first became really known in Canada for his role as Sean Hanlon in Breaker High, which I have to say that when I was younger I LOVED, and lets be realistic I still remember the episodes. So from Breaker High to the Academy Awards...AMAZING!
