Sam Behrens

Sam is married to actress Shari Belafonte of Hotel fame.

Sam admits that he doesn't consider soap opera's "quality" television, but does consider the actors who work in soaps to be "quality" actors.

Sam says that if he could play any part on television it would be Sam Waterston's "Jack McCoy" on Law & Order.

Sam was named "Performer of the Week" in the July 20, 1999 issue of Soap Opera Digest for his portrayal of "Gregory Richards" on Sunset Beach.

Sam was encouraged to go into acting by the head of his high school's drama department.

Sam admits that he would do anything to work with Robert Duvall, saying that "he is the master."

Sam became interested in acting after he appeared in Cinderella when he was in the second grade. He says that he enjoyed the applause a great deal.

Sam says that even if he wasn't an actor, he'd still be involved in show business in some way.

Sam has been nominated for 3 Soap Opera Digest Awards, all in the category of "Outstanding Villain." He won in 1991 for his portrayal of "Danny Waleska" on Knots Landing.

Sam is 6' with brown hair and brown eyes.

Sam was hired in 1983 to play "Jake Meyer" on General Hospital for 5 days. Fans loved the character so much that producers decided to keep him for 5 years!

Sam studied acting with famed coaches Wynn Handman, Aaron Frankel, Peggy Feury, and Harry Mastrogeorge.

Sam's favorite hobby is playing golf.
