Sam Jones III was part of the original cast of Smallville as Pete Ross. I personally didn't really like the character, but one of those reasons i think might possibly have been that he never really had arcs or stories for himself, and was almost the character that has a few lines, but is in most episodes. As i rewatched some of the episodes i realized that Jones had a ton of talent. He is far more talented than i thought that he was due to his lack of stories on the show. Whenever i think of him as an actor, the image of the episodes "X-Ray" pops into my mind as he had a great performance in that episode. He is far talented that he was given credit for in the series, but no offense to the writers.
Sam Jones 3 is a great actor. I personally think he's best role was in the pre superman show smallville as clark kent's best friend pete ross.I think you know a good actor when you first see him perform. That's when I realised what a great actor Sam Jones is. The first time I saw him was on the smallville pilot and even though he wasn't in it for that long I just saw the skill of him. Good actors need to be able to act in just about any situation and as far as I've seen Sam Jones 3 does that every time I see him on tv. He is a future star of telivision!

Most recently, he starred alongside former Cosby Show actress Raven-Symoné in the 2006 Lifetime movie For One Night. Sam Jones III received great ciritcal acclaim for his lead role in a film called Zigzag, playing an autistic young man. He also once appeared with Allison Mack (Chloe) in an episode of The Nightmare Room on the Kids WB.
oh i loved him so much in Smallville he was one of my favorite charactors!!!!! He was so cute and sweet why did he have to leave anyway????? Why did Pete leave the show i think that his charecter was good and he should have stayed, i think that they should bring pete back in to the show. Pete was Clarks best freind in the TV series and when Clark finally told Pete his secret he couldnt handle it at first but he finally learnt how to cope with the burden Clark had left his best freind. Pete kept Clarks secret for 2 years before leaving after being tourtured to find out Clarks secret and that led to the dramatic season finale in season 3 which lest serious consequences. Hope Pete comes back to the show for a special guest apperance.
