It is hard to describe the many talents of Sam Robison! I have not seen him in about 3 1/2 years or so. I used to frequent the Thursday night Changing Channels show; at that time I was considered a "groupie" and was once given a balloon at a show for being one of the biggest fans of the comedy act..Which was true! Sam's humor, intelligence, and charm were endearing to me as well as many others who came to see him. He is funny, yet serious; he is deep yet down to earth; easy to talk to but most of all his genuine personality will sweep you off your feet. I did not get to spend as much time with Sam as I would have liked; I moved shortly after our first unforgetable, fun night together. Don't you hate when that happens....
The chemistry we had was, well I am not sure I have the words to describe it but I am regrettful that I had to leave NC to move to NJ
Although I am now happily married and living a much more grounded life I feel as though Sam left a lasting impression on me and deserves more recognition. He is a hidden talent for sure...and an all too well kept secret in Wilmington, NC. His many book recommendations to me were awesome! Amoung them Geek Love, by Katherine Dunn is my favorite....and Sam if you get to read this I hope you found those movies in your car!
