I knew it!
Sam Troughton is the grandson of Patrick (Doctor Who & in the original Omen film) & son of David (in A Very Peculiar Practice, a favourite of mine from the 80s).
I am so glad for TV.com, how else would I have been able to confirm my suspicions?
