Reba finally gets into see Mr. Bata hoping her singing career will take off, but is devastated when she is asked to write commercial jingles instead. Kim confides in Reba about her concern about Sage's future when he doesn't apply to Stanford and wants to be closer to June.

Reba wonders if she should tell Kim of the passionate kiss her husband gave her. Lillie Mae discovers a nude beach. Geoffrey wants Reba to be honest in the songs she writes. June tests Reba's trust when she wants to be alone with Sage in her room. Cash embarks on a new look.

Reba and Lillie Mae's plans for Las Vegas are abruptly put on hold when Sage makes a startling confession that he isn't gay and is interested in June, also well as Kim's confidence in her ability that she'll be a good mother to her child.

June gets a meeting with Mr. Bata that Reba has been trying to get for a while. Lillie Mae and Kim realize that Cash can pick winning horses at the track and use it to their advantage.

All this while trying to break back into the music business that has changed since she had a hit song.

Jennifer may regret deciding to throw Audrey's shower after she puts the wrong date of the shower on the invitation. Jeff takes an instant liking to Brenda's clothes for some reason. Russell does something drastic by giving up on dating women hoping to accomplish things.

Jeff tries to cheat on his new diet after being diagnosed with high cholesterol he enlists Brenda's help in making sure Audrey doesn't find out. Russell may have a lot of trouble trying to keep up with his college intern recently hired to work at the office on the local party circuit.
