Sarah Ferguson

Sarah: I can safely say one of the best things I've done is be a good mother.

Sarah: I've not dated for 5 years. I'd like to, but I don't meet men. Besides, they're terrified of me. Not only do I come with the world's press but I'm 47 and I say what I feel. I'm not going to play games.

Sarah: I made it a priority to read to my girls at bedtime. So much so that when I'd travel far from home, I'd read stories into the tape recorder and leave a stack of cassettes on the night table. I firmly believe that reading and storytelling helps children learn values and use their gift of imagination.

Sarah: As a child, I loved reading and being read to by my parents. One of my all-time favorite books is called The Fox's Frolics, a madcap adventure about a cheeky fox who turns things around and rides the hounds. Since my favorite pastime as a young girl was exploring the countryside on my pony, I also loved adventure stories about horses, such as Black Beauty.

Sarah: I officially became a single, working mom after my divorce in 1996. I had debts and had to earn a living to support myself and share in the cost of raising my girls. I felt it would be wrong for me to work commercially in Britain; so for me, going off to work meant commuting several weeks each month to the United States. My first real job was with Weight Watchers, and I am proud to say we are still together eight years later. This work has changed my life. When I started, I was still overweight and my esteem was rock bottom from the tabloids' incessant pummeling. I lost weight on the program, but more importantly I toured America, meeting and speaking with thousands who accepted me as a fellow member. That acceptance made me stronger, and the organization's unconditional support kept me going.

Sarah: The Queen is one of the finest ladies I've ever met in my life. I'm so honoured to be able to say we are friends. I love her. She's given up her whole life to her country. She's a great lady and a wonderful grandmother.

Sarah: I have a weight problem so I live by Weight Watchers everyday, I love it- it's part of my life. There's nothing complicated about what I eat. I can enjoy a glass of white wine and not feel guilty. Nothing is off limits.

Sarah: Humility comes from understanding that the obstacles in front of you are not going to go away.

Sarah: I would like to act. I genuinely think it would be a good idea. I have enough experience of drama because that's what my life has been.

Sarah: I'd quite like to go on Dancing With The Stars. I'd like them to teach me the tango. I did go to the oldest tango place and I did look at it and think, 'I can try this.'
