Scott Scovell Hamilton was adopted by Dorothy and Ernest Hamilton shortly after the Hamiltons lost their second child during child birth. A happy, healthy child, Scott was also a trouble maker. He would be found doing all sorts of mischevious things, at the tender age of 6 months…more

Set the tone for skating!

Scott really set the tone for skating. And that he is very talented. He is also very funny and witty. Not just as a skater and a commentator. But as a person. Who has battled so much adversity growing up. And making it as a skater. He just is battling cancer these days. But he manages to shrug it off with a smile and a laugh. Also he is involved in cancer and children's charities. And was one of the few athletes who got the Olympic Spirit Award, while that was new at the time. He set the tone for Brian Boitano and Brian Orser, just to name a few male skaters!moreless
