Scott William Winters was born 2nd of four children in New York City on August 5, 1965. He is married to Jennifer Logan Winters and they have one child together. Scott and his older brother Dean, worked together as bartenders at various New York bars. It was at one of these bars, where they would meet Tom Fontana, who cast them in guest starring roles on the series Homicide: Life on the Street. Scott and his brother would also appear together on the HBO series OZ as criminal brothers Cyril and Ryan O’Reily, respectively. Scott’s younger brother Bradford worked as a writer… More for OZ, and the youngest of the four, Scott’s sister Blair, runs the Children’s HIV ward of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Scott can currently be seen as Agent Samuels in the current sixth season of the hit Fox series 24.

    Scott is a wonderful actor, portraying a mentally disturbed prisoner in "Oz". hide show

    Larry Drake did it first on "LA Law", and now Scott William Winters does it again on "Oz". Playing a person with a mental handicap is not easy, but both Larry and Scott did it with style and grace. Scott's portrayal of Cyril O'Rielley, who became mentally ill after an accident, was entirely believable and exceptionally real. How he could bring this character to life day after day, week after week, is a testiment to his exceptional abilities as an actor. I found myself cheering for Cyril, and I even cried when he was finally executed. I loved the relationship he had with his brother, Ryan, who also happens to be his brother in real life.
