Sean Biggerstaff was born on March 15, 1983 in Glasgow, Scotland and is best known as 'Oliver Wood' from blockbuster 'Harry Potter' movies.

Sean started acting when he was 5 years old and joined the Scottish Youth Theatre when he was 6. He acted in plays for 14 years before hitting the big screen in the 1997 movie, 'The Winter Guest' starring his 'Harry Potter' co-stars Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson.

Alan Rickman was so impressed by Sean's acting ability that he got Sean an agent and asked him to star in 'The Winter Guest' as Tom.







More Five years later, Alan Rickman put in a good word for Sean at the 'Harry Potter' auditions and they agreed to meet with him. They too were impressed by his talents and signed him to play 'Oliver Wood.'

Sean skyrocketed to fame after his first appearance in 'Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone' and soon reprised his role in 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.' He was cut from the 3rd film because of time constraints.

Although Sean's 'Harry Potter' days seem to be far behind him, his acting career is still in high demand. In 2004, Sean starred in the movie, 'Cashback,' which received rave reviews for Sean's acting.

As of 2002, Sean resides in Glasgow, Scotland with his family.
