When he was preparing for his role on the series "Sons of Thunder", he took karate lessions because his character was a black belt. They weren't needed because the show only lasted six episodes.
Likes watching basketball and hockey.
Loves to snowboard, golf, water ski, and fish.
He had to lose 30 pounds for his part on "The Matthew Shepard Story".

    Shane Meier- 15 minutes of fame and counting! hide show

    Shane is just one of many great actors that have been around for years and yet nobody's heard of him. He's done so many various projects- some major, some small- that I'm sure many people have at least seen him. Personally, I seen him in a couple movies but didn't really make the connection until I saw him in a rerun of "Walker Texas Ranger" and decided to find out just who he is. After seeing him in so many things, I'm hoping that in time more people notice him and give him the fame he so rightfully deserves. He's still young- just turned 28 believe it or not. Sounds like the perfect age to emerge to superstardom.
