    • (On what it was like working with a young director) Shawn: I initially thought it might be but after spending a lot of time with Scott (Caan), I realized that it didn't make any difference. He's just really good at what he does. He's really bright and really smart. As it turns out, he is one of the best directors I've ever worked with.
    • (On his future career plans) Shawn: I don't have a plan. I'm happy to do what I'm doing. I enjoy the ability to do whatever I want. I do a lot of independent films, I get to play a lot of different characters, and it's just a real pleasure. The goal is to keep doing it.
    • (On what inspired Shawn to become an actor) Shawn: I remember seeing a stage performance of Sha Na Na when I really young and thinking, "Hey, I wanna do that." It's something that's always been in the back of my head from as far back as I can remember. I always wanted to be a performer in some way or form. I liked the idea of being around a group of people and causing some sort of reaction.
