Shayna is amazingly talented. Not only is she a fantastic actress but is also a great musician/song writer. If you are interested in more info visit her website at www.shaynarose.com.
Here is her bio from that site:
Shayna started performing and singing professionally when she was only eight years old. Throughout her career she has appeared in countless regional musicals. Starring roles included, Mary in “The Secret Garden”, Little Red Riding Hood in “Into the Woods”, Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”, Heidi in “Heidi”, and Young Violet in “Violet”. Shayna also appeared in several dramas including her starring role as Mary Tilford in “The Children’s Hour”, which earned her a nomination for best supporting actress by the Denver Drama Critics Circle. You may have also spotted her in numerous national commercials like Ford and McDonald’s.
Shayna moved to Los Angeles in 2002 after turning down a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was not easy moving to such a big city at such a young age. The fierce competition and challenge of the entertainment industry was a far cry from the comforts she had known in the Mile High city.
Shayna tried to juggle her acting, singing, songwriting, auditions, and two jobs. The usual frustrations accompanied this process: finding an agent, looking for managers, being unable to submit “unsolicited” music materials, learning who’s who and who’s not, hearing no and no and no…again, and of course – how do I pay my bills and eat?
Although success did not come quickly, it did slowly trickle in. Shayna started to land a few co-starring roles in such series as “Gilmore Girls”, “Medium” and “Commander In Chief”. Her musical showcases and songwriting also began attracting more interest.
Now in 2006, Shayna is honored and excited to be starring as Stephanie Johnson on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives”. She is also thrilled to continue working on her music and hopes to also launch her recording career. She is thankful for the ongoing support she receives from her agent, managers, coaches, and family.
