Shelly: Whenever I watch guy rockers I'm just like, Wow, I want to have sex with him.
Shelly: It was fun. It was the hardest thing I've ever done.
Shelly: One good thing though is that whereas in the 80's, it was really hard to make a leap from television to the movies. Now it's completely [different].
Shelly: I had so much fun working with Gina [Gershon] and Drea [de Matteo] and Lori [Petty], all of them. We had a great time all of us - the four of us together - which I think shows on the screen.
Shelly: I don't think I'd ever kissed a girl on screen before.
Shelly: My first record was I Love Rock and Roll when I was 7 years-old. I think that's where it all began.
Shelly: There are different kinds of fans - like there are some who want to emulate who they are watching, like maybe girls who watch girl bands.
Shelly (about learning to play drums): Four weeks, I learned how to play nine songs.
Shelly (comparing musicians and actors): I think it's pretty neck to neck.
Shelly: My first job was Gilmore Girls and I was doing that for the last 3 years.
Shelly (about making the transition from TV to movies): They don't look down upon actors who want to make that transition now, which is good.
Shelly: [Gina Gershon is] really, really magnetic. I really love Gina, she's really fun to be around.
Shelly: I think Lori [Petty] was my first screen kiss. We did it four or five times and it was like not a big deal. It wasn't like girl-on-girl action.
Shelly: I always wanted to be a rock star.
