Slayer Trivia

  • Trivia

    • Slayer is #50 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artist of Hard Rock.

    • In November, 2003, Slayer released an elaborate box set, 'Soundtrack to the Apocalpyse.' The five-disc collection came in an olive-drab box resembling an ammunition case.

Among the items inside were a group logo flag, a laminated pass, a packet of fake blood enclosing the fifth cd, a large photo booklet and the rest of the discs themselves.

Music included classic tracks from the studio albums, rare b-sides, demos, cover songs and compilation tracks, and live and previously unreleased material.

    • On June 6, 2006, a date which reads 6/6/06 in short notation, Slayer released a commemorative t-shirt to mark the day. The item sold out within hours via the group's website.
