Biography:

Sprague Grayden is an American TV, film, and stage actress famous for her role as Heather Lisinski in the CBS post-apocalyptic drama Jericho. She was born and raised in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts by parents who were both schoolteachers. By age five, Sprague had already started acting and continued to appear in commercials and local plays during her adolescent years. In 1989, she made her film debut in Dad.

When they were young, their family owned a restaurant in town called Ben Sprague's named after her and her brother Ben, who tragically died in his senior year in Manchester High School. Sprague attended the same high school where she was active in the drama program. She also became a member of Rebel Shakespeare Company, a local youth group which staged productions in local venues. She then enrolled at Barnard College at Columbia University in New York where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies.

After doing off-Broadway plays, she landed a role in Biohazardous in 2001 as well as a one-shot appearance in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Several other TV guest and recurring roles followed suit until she received regular casting in Jericho in 2006. The show, which ended after only two seasons, has undoubtedly springboarded Sprague career on television.
