Capetonian born and raised actor that left South Africa for the United States on a tennis scholarship as a 19 year old. Theater major at UWA. Played for both the UWA tennis and football teams. Moved to New York in 1992 to pursue an acting career after favorable reviews in university plays, community and regional theater. Has portrayed everything from an Ecuadorian photographer (110 Stories-Public Theater/NY), Serbian Muslim Fundamentalist (Law & Order SVU), Italian American mobster (Law & Order Criminal Intent), Greek restaurant proprietor (Pulse), American WW II Sergeant (The Coldest Winter), and German superintendent (Arabian Night)to a shady hit man on Ugly Betty (recurring role).
Maintains South African citizenship.

Speaks several languages.

ELLE magazine voted him #19 on their annual HOT 40 List for the year 2006.

Is a pupil of Robert X Modica (Meisner technique).

Received the Alpha Psi Omega acting honors at University of West Alabama in 1992.

Spent two and a half years in Alabama.

Had his stage play 'Venom' nominated for an award by the Samuel French Love Creek Festival which honors one act plays in Off Broadway venues. His screenplays have won awards at various festivals.

Is an active USTA member with a 5.0 USTA rating.

Has either been prominently featured in or graced the covers of over 20 South African magazines, newspapers and tabloids.
