Martin encounters a homeless man who has the same obsession with numbers as Jake does, which begins a series of seemingly unrelated events that connect an abused African woman, a group of African boys in a dance competition, and a heartbroken woman at a dance contest. Meanwhile, Arthur Teller visits Jake's boarding facility and Clea believes she has found her mother.
