    • Steve Lawrence is married to singer Eydie Gorme.

    • Steve Lawrence's elder brother, Bernie, was also a singer. Both boys started out as Cantors in the synagogue.

    • Born Sidney Liebowitz, when Steve decided to sing professionally he needed a new name, one that didn't sound too Jewish. He chose Steve and Lawrence, because they were the names of his two nephews by his elder brother, Bernie.

    • Steve Lawrence gave away two of his biggest hit songs that became even bigger hits for ones that did the cover version. They were "Go Away Little Girl" by Donny Osmond and "I've Got To Be Me" by Sammy Davis, Jr.
