Susan attended Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA.
Susan was in New Zealand filming the Hercules episode "Green-Eyed Monster" when she got the news that her soap Malibu Shores was cancelled. When she got back to the States she immediately headed to New York to begin auditioning for new roles.

Susan: I grew up in an animal haven; my family had exotic birds, reptile, dogs, monkeys, snakes, rabbits and hamsters.
Susan: I grew up watching NASCAR and all that. Instead of going to church on Sunday, my dad would get a 12-pack of Busch beer, because it was the official NASCAR beer, and we'd watch NASCAR.
Susan: I am not sexually attracted to women. I would rather sleep with an ugly man than with a woman.
