As of March, 2007, Sutton is been playing the role of Janet van der Grarf in the Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone.
Sutton participated in the original workshops for Wicked, but did not perform in the show on Broadway.
Sutton left high school early in order to perform in the national tour of The Will Rogers Follies. She later received her diploma through correspondence courses. She attended one year of college at Carnegie Mellon University, but left after one year to be an actress full time.
Sutton has preformed in several benefit concerts including Funny Girl in Concert, Chess in Concert, and Snoopy in Concert.
At age 15, Sutton was a finalist for the new cast member on The Mickey Mouse Club. She sadly did not make the final cut and never appeared on the show.
Sutton played Guenevere in her high school's production of King Arthur and Frenchie in her high school's production of Grease.

Sutton played Eponine in the third national tour of Les Miserables and also understudied the role on Broadway. She also played Sandy in the national tour of Grease.
