Suspended from WCW in May 2000 after drug paraphernalia (bodybuilding pills) was reportedly found in a bathroom stall she was using (Tammy was never a bodybuilder, and immediately offered to take a urine test to prove she was innocent. Three weeks later, the drug test results returned and were indeed negative.)
Released from ECW in early-1999 for drugs (Tammy stated in an interview that drug use was widespread in the ECW locker room (other ex-ECW wrestlers have made the same statement), but she and Chris [Candido] drank and took pills, but no 'illegal' drugs ... said Paul Heyman, ECW promoter, fired them to "set an example.")
Tamara signed with the World Wrestling Foundation in 1994. When her contract expired in 1998 she did not renew her contract, instead choosing to join ECW. Tamara was later released from her contract with ECW due to illegal drug usage and later signed on with WCW.
Tamara made her debut as a wrestling manager with Smokey Mountain Wrestling in June 1993.
Tamara won the 1996 WWF Slammy Awards for "Best Buns" and "Brains Behind the Brawn."
Tamara was married to Chris Candido from the late-1990's until his death, caused by complications from surgery on a broken leg, on 28 April 2005.
