Actress, singer, dancer, songwriter, Taryn Manning was born November 6, 1978 in Falls Church, Virginia. After her parents divorced in 1981, Taryn, her brother Kellin, and Sharyn moved to Tucson, Arizona where her mother worked two jobs in order to support the family. Her family later moved to California. In the late 1990s, Taryn started her film career, getting small roles on television. Her first credited role in film was in 2001’s crazy/beautiful. The following year, she got a large role in the movie Crossroads, playing one of Britney Spears’ best friends Mimi. In… More 2003, Taryn decided to pursue a music career, and started the pop dup Boomkat with Kellin. Taryn’s music career in Boomkat didn’t find success, but Taryn started to in film and TV. She got roles in Oscar nominated movies like Cold Mountain and Hustle and Flow. Taryn has found success in her acting career and continues on with it.
