She began her career as a singer for the band the Doodletown Pipers. Later, she moved to acting. In 1983, she gave up show business completely to be a Jehovah's Witness. On October 10, 2002, fire fighters found her unconscious in the bedroom of her house, and she was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. It was believed that the fire was caused by a faulty heater.
