I saw Terri and Bindi speak at the National Press Club luncheon last Friday. I took several brief video clips with my digital camera. I uploaded a few of them and I wrote up a two-part recap of the luncheon on my blog. You can read it here:
Part 1
Part 2
Terri said that she plans to stay in Australia to continue Steve's work at Australia Zoo. The family will continue to be involved in wildlife conservation efforts around the world and they will continue their close ties with the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, the Travel Channel and Discovery Kids.
Her talk focused on Steve's life and accomplishments and the future plans for the Australia Zoo. The question and answer session was less structured, so Terri was able to provide some personal insights about Steve, their relationship, and Steve's devotion to Bindi and little Bob.
It was a nice talk. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to see Terri and Bindi in person. Hopefully they will return in future years as Terri and Bindi and Bob carry on Steve's mission to protect wildlife and promote awareness of the importance of wildlife conservation.
