Terry Lester began his soap career on The Young and the Resteless in the early 1980s as Jack Abbott. Lester was good in the role of Jack. He left Y&R in 1989, to take over the role of Mason Capwell On Santa Barbara, after Lane Davies left permenantly.
Lester left SB in 1990, and a man named Gordon Thomson took over the role of Mason Capwell through the rest of SB's run. Lester found work on As the World Turns in 1992. In 1994, Lester left ATWT when Royce Keller (Terry Lester) was killed off the show. It has been suggested that Lester was gay I don't care what those stupid repoerters in the tabloids say. Lester died of a heart attack in 2003, and rumors about him being gay surfaced, and I personally think he was a kind and gentle man. Like Mason, Lester care about his family.
