    • After their formation, the band had to add a "UK" after their name, following claims filed by a '60's U.S. group also named "The Charlatans."

    • Original keyboardist Rob Collins was somehow involved in an arm robbery in 1992, after going out for a drink with a friend. Eight months' imprisonment came afterwards.

    • The electronic music duo The Chemical Brothers collaborated with The Charlatans for a remix of their song "Patrol," taken from their 1994 album Up To Our Hips.
