The greatest writer you never heard of. hide show

Not many people know who Theodore Sturgeon is; but those who do regard him as one of (if not THE) greatest writers of all time. His list of fans include Michael Reeves (Gargoyles, Batman: The Animated Series) David Gerrold (The Trouble with Tribbles, The Real Ghostbusters) and Stephen King (do I even have to add anything here?).
Theodore Sturgeon was a speculative fiction writer. Calling him a SciFi writer would forgetting some of his more fantasy and horror works. And even in those works, as well as his scifi, there was always love. Sturgeon loved people and wanted others to do the same. You could feel this in his works, but if never felt cheesy. In fact, it touched you at your deepest core and taught you things you already knew for the first time. For examples, I suggest my two favorite works: More Than Human and Godbody. He may have passed away, but in those two works Sturgeon is alive and well.
