Thomas McCarthy has appeared in the feature film "Meet the Parents," starring Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller, as well as "The Citizen" and "30 Days and Certain Guys." His television credits include "Ally McBeal," "Law & Order: SVU," "Spin City" and two films for Hallmark Hall of Fame -- "St. Maybe," opposite Mary Louise Parker, and "Mary and Tim," opposite Candice Bergen.

He has amassed an extensive list of theater credits, such as the regional productions of "Le Ronde," directed by Joanne Woodward, Landford Wilson's "Virgil is Still the Frogboy," "Hamlet" and "Taming Of The

More Shrew." He has also appeared in numerous productions at the Yale School of Drama, where he was trained.

McCarthy was born in New Jersey and is a graduate of Boston College and the Yale School of Drama.
