Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft was born on February 6th, 1914 and grew up to inherit a one of a kind baritone voice. He will always be connected with the voice of "Tony the Tiger" since he was Tony's voice for over 50 years and came up the the famous tagline - Grrreeeeaaaaat! Thurl was also a singer and voice over actor. A lot of his voice over work was done for Disney. His voice can also be heard at most all the attractions at Disney World as well. Sadly Thurl passed away and we lost another great voice actor.

    He was grrrrrreat! hide show

I miss Thurl Ravenscroft quite dearly. He was the voice of Tony the Tiger. He had also done a lot of projects for Walt Disney. You can even hear him in many Disneyland attractions! In the Enchanted Tiki Room, he is the voice of Fritz the German Parrot. In the Haunted Mansion, he is seen one of the singing busts. In the Country Bear Jamboree, he is the voice of Buff the Buffalo Head. Thurl was even honored as a Disney Legend! He was also the one who sang, "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch". RIP, Thurl Ravenscroft! We'll never forget you!
