I had only heard about Thuy's death a year or two ago, during the time of her death I was in transition and didn't watch TV much at all, on top of that my viewing of Power Rangers had severely dropped off since Power Rangers in Space so I missed the episode dedicated to her. She was a great actress and had the potential to be even more, its so sad to see things like that go out with such a whisper. Remember her guys and girls, Thuy Trang will always have her place in television history, and will always be close to those who remember her short lived, but Powerific legacy :)
Thuy Trang was mostly know for her role in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as the Yellow Ranger. I loved it when she was on there she could really fight. But then she and 2 of the other actors left cuz of there salary. And when i found out about what happen on September 3, 2001 i was devestaded cuz she left. But for now on im going to post a blog about her every year just for her. and if where to ever meet her i would of wanted to be a good friend to her. So i just wanted to let everyone who reads this that I Miss You Thuy You were a great actor.
I have several things in common with Thuy Trang. Born in Vietnam. As well as her first name is my middle name. She was a positive role model for young Asian women like myself. And that I wished that she had more roles. As she seemed talented as well. Missed her still and that she will be the first and original yellow ranger. IMHO!
Trini was my favorite Power Ranger ever! I was so sad when I was watching that episode of PRTF and then it said that she had died. I couldn't believe it - this mean kid at my school had teasingly told me that Trini was going to die, and now Thuy did. Sorry - had to subtract points for not wearing the seatbelt. OMG!
when I was in elementry school i wanted to grow up to be just like Trini from the origional power rangers, and even though Thuy Trang was one of 3 who was fired/replaced after just one season, I still though the world of her. After a starring role in Crow city of Angels it looked like Thuy was headed for the big time, before her life was cut tragically short.
