Tim Rykert is one of Canada's top stand-up comics. A veteran of the Second City National Touring Company, Tim has been featured on his own half-hour episode of the CBC hit series Comics, and played a recurring role in Ken Finkleman's critically acclaimed sitcom, The Newsroom. Tim is a regular headliner at all of Canada's top comedy clubs and has made numerous appearances at Montreal's International Just For Laughs Comedy Festival including a performance at the 1997 Gala.

On Drinking Less: “I'm trying to wean myself off alcohol. I was drinking a lot of hard liquor. And I cut that out and went to beer for a while and now I'm just drinking water. After that, I'm going to go to American beer.”
On Drugs: “I don't advocate doing drugs. I will admit I have done drugs in the past. But I didn't exhale.”
On Being Scrawny: “Skinny is when you're a very thin person, scrawny is when you're a very thin person and people beat you up a lot.”
