Tobias's Brutus in HBO's Rome is a deeply conflicted and tortured soul and he has given us a wonderful and believeable character. It was a very subtle and moving performance.
Played by a less accomplished actor Brutus could come across as a two dimensional caricature, potentially morose and weak, but Tobias has done an amazing job of developing a touching and vulnerable character that you can't help but warm to and empathise with. The role of Brutus has certainly cemented his reputation as a wonderful actor and its good to see that so many people are now appreciating Tobias’ talents.moreless
