Lasance was reported to have been in an accident on Sunday 10th August, an 80 year old woman's Honda Civic collided with Todds Toyota Supra sports vehicle, however, he was freed along with his 21 year old passenger, he suffered from bruising and soreness to his chest, and minor cuts to his hands, however, the passenger was reportedly in a serious condition. The elderly driver, who allegedly caused the accident by making an improper right turn, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Lasance was dating singer songwriter, Tellina Lee. Now is currently single, but is rumoured to be dating on-screen girlfriend Jessica Tovey, who plays Belle Taylor on Home and Away.
In October 2007, it was announced that Todd Lasance will be a regular cast member, on Home and Away.

Todd: I love going to the movies, but once summer comes I'll go to the beach as much as I can, start to learn to surf, and that'll take up most of my time.
Todd: (Talking about the day he got "the call") I was with a couple of my mates and we were getting ready for a paintball day out in the bush. My agent rang me and was like what are you doing? I'm like playing paintball. He said that he's got some good news, and I just lost it. It was a good day. I still remember it perfectly. It's not like work, I just feel so lucky to be part of it.
