Tom Everett Scott: It's fun to be recognized because it's flattering. It means that you're actually getting out there and people have seen your stuff. But it's okay when I get off the plane and no one knows who I am. I'm really OK with that; I don't go up to people and say, 'Don't you know who I am?'

Tom Everett Scott: I learned that keeping toilet paper is important in college. One time my roommates and I ran out of toilet paper, and we were so lazy we wouldn't buy it. So me and my roommates wound up going through a whole box of coffee filters first.

Tom Everett Scott: (on playing poker) I play all the time. I love poker. I've been playing for years in New York at a weekly Wednesday night game. And all my friends will tell you that I'm a very mediocre to poor player.

Tom Everett Scott: I usually get cast as this good-hearted guy who's just trying to do the right thing. That's pretty much what I'm like.

Tom Everett Scott: (on advice he received from Tom Hanks) He saw me getting pressured. He told me less is more. He basically said don't sweat it.

Tom Everett Scott: (on the matter of fame) [Fame] looks like a really hairy affair. But if it's part of the job, I'll figure out a way to deal with it.
