Tom Hopper: (About his fans) I'm really excited about meeting the fans. They seem so passionate and I get a lot of enjoyment out of talking and meeting them.
Tom Hopper: (About workin in Merlin) It's a really great working environment, it's a really fun place to work. And it's just not the cast, the crew are great too.
Tom Hopper: (About his role of Sir Percival in Merlin) He's a gentle giant, the one thing I've always said about him, he's very protective. He'll do anything for those he loves and I love that aspect about him.
Tom Hopper: (About landing a role in Doctor Who) It's a great honour as a young actor to be part of such a long-running, critically-acclaimed show, especially working with Matt Smith. It's crazy knowing that it has such a huge following and obviously I was really pleased to get the part in a show I've been watching since I was at school.
Tom Hopper: (About his classmates thinking he was gay because he chose musicals over sport at school) It never bothered me at all. Well, I'm not, but whatever.
Tom Hopper: (About being an actor) I think I found that when I was doing a show on a regular basis and just acting constantly that was when I was at my happiest.
Tom Hopper: (About Tormented) I personally don't think it's super scary, it's kind of eerie, it's definitely gory. I like to think of it as a horror comedy rather than just straight horror. I think that compared to others things that have been out in recent times, like Hostel and Saw, this has a different edge which brings a little bit more fun back to horror, which I like about it.
Tom Hopper: (About his character in Tormented) I have a little bit of a scrap, I'll say that, and I'm not wearing particularly many clothes when I have the scrap, and I end up with a hole somewhere. That's all I'll say.
I saw the script: 'Full length shot of Marcus in the shower' and so I knew: oh, all off'.
Tom Hopper: (About seeking roles in the USA) I think any actor that wants to do films, if they don't want to go to America I personally think that's a silly choice because [...] American has a huge amount of films being made and huge budgets for films, and if you can get inside there it's literally the way to be.
Tom Hopper: (About visiting his hometown in Leicester) London's so busy, London's manic half the time. When you travel across London it can take two hours to get from one end of London to the other, when it actually takes me two hours to get up to Leicester. So it's not actually that big a deal for me to come up to Leicester anymore, it just feels likes I'm going to the other side of London. So it's quite nice to come home.
Tom Hopper: (About being tended to when he broke a leg) It was the most boring time of my life. My mum was looking after me day-in, day-out, making me lots of cups of tea and looking after my dog at the same time actually. Don't break a leg anyone. Do not break a leg. It's really boring.
