  • Quotes

    • Ty: (About "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition") Our show proves that some pretty incredible things can happen when people come together.

    • Ty: (When asked what makes him "tick") It's about the joy of doing things for others.

    • Ty: (in an interview with the E! network) I would strip down naked, and swing from the blinds in my classroom as a child.

    • Ty: (Speaking on the terrible devastation of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.) If you lose the sounds coming out of New Orleans, you lose part of the American language. I realize we're just a TV show, but we feel we have a real obligation to let these people know we haven't forgotten about them, that we'll do whatever we can to make things right.

    • Ty: (Speaking of the daunting task of rebuilding a home in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina) It was completely different. Usually we help out one family and build one house...It's tough to do one house in a neighborhood that doesn't have any houses.

    • Ty: (After going to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina) I was not prepared for what I saw down there. When you see it firsthand, it looks like Hiroshima.

    • Ty: (About "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition") The one thing about our show is some pretty incredible things can happen when people come together and help people in need.

HI my name is Amanda Snead, i am a mother of two, and a wife to Christopher Snead. We have been married 20 years, and have two children, Cathrine at 15 and Cayden at 8. We are a very happy family, but one thing we are struggling with is our home. Every time we turn around, something else needs fixing. We just don't have the money. I have heart problems, and my husband is always stressing out because we don't have the money to pay the hospital bills and all the other bills we have to pay in everyday life. My daughter was diagnosed with migraine headaches at 11 years old, and when she gets sick, we have to get tons of medicines refilled, and just don't have that kind of money. We are currently living in my husbands boss' house, and it was built in 1947 and is just falling apart, we have termites, and every time we get a bad thunderstorm the house fluds. We have concrete floors, and the house is so old, it is peeling up. Extreme makeover, we really need your help.moreless
