My Story

i always love the show that was always helping people who needed it but the homes that can be given to someone who needs also get torn down i understandstand if there is no hope for the home to be saved but if it can be then it should be and given to someone else i hope this show keeps airing for the next 20 years or longer because it is a great show and maybe by then people would relized that we have alot of problems in our own backyards and alot of people dont even relized the problems when someone can not even afford rent or something to eat anyways great show MY STORY I am a single male who suffers from from biplor and eplicey and always trying to afford rent because i am not allowed to work any more so i live on what social services gives me when i appy for the next step of income support i was told that i do not me their qualifactions because i am not severe see in canad the problem is biplor is just getting started to get recuince as a mentaly disorder i would love to here from someone in the cast expecialy ty about this matter my name is ed

You are such in insperation. Thank you for helping so selflessly. Everytime I watch I thank God for people like you. This show shows just how people who do so much for others and not enough for themselves can use a helping hand. It also shows just how as a nation if we all pull together we can make this a much much better place to raise our children. Way to go Ty and team. Ty Pennington, what can I say about him. I've only seen him on the Television. He is a great character. He's down to earth, I love how he always introduces families via Video sent in to the show. He shows deep emotion in his presentations.

He seems to be a man with genuine feelings. He's serious when it seems appropriate, but generally speaking he is just plain crazy ( I mean that in a very respectfull way ).

His level of energy is just unstoppable. How he does it? I have no idea. I'd love to meet him and the rest of his group.

I love it when the shows near their end and he says with his fantastic smile...

Your show is the best. What you do for these families is beyond words. I cry everytime I watch the program. God bless each and every one of you for everthing. May God continue to bless the show. Apart from the fact that Ty Pennington is a likable personality in and of himself, I also really like that what makes his personal success so stunning is the amount of work he has to do in the background to sustain it.



I am sure every celebrity has to do background work that we never see, but it most often, net out, it is for themselves and a personal target. No problem with that: we all do it, and have to do it for our lives and our jobs.



But by nature, Ty's current object of stardom is a show that is ultimately about betterment for others and so the work behind the scenes, and the personal involvement required to make about 44 minutes of air time happen each week must be staggering.



I personally wouldn't have that kind of energy, but I'm glad he does. And because he does, I don't begrudge him one iota of the personal success he has achieved.



As was said on the Biography of Ty: this show isn't "Reality"; its real. Even taken with a grain of salt, because by definition Hollywood is NOT real, this man has done great work with someone else in mind.

Ty... you bring amazing and positive energy to the show, as well as a great sense of fun. This show is one FEEL GOOD entertainment show that displays people at their absolute best and sets a great example of how we all should all aspire to be. I never tire of watching this show. You and the rest of the cast do amazing and wonderful things in a small window of time. I come away from watching it feeling hope and a more positive sense towards my neighbors. Awesome job to all you at Extreme Makeover: Home Edition! Having said that, I would like to apply for help (and believe me, my sentiments are heart felt... no smooze here). I became disabled after 25 years of working hard for "The Man" and paying into the system. I applied for disability, having plenty of medical evidence, but Social Security, I have found, plays all kinds of games with people. Not just with me, but with everyone who needs the money. 3 years later, I am living in my foreclosed home (my mortgagor has not asked me to leave yet after nearly a year), my car was repossessed and I unable to earn an income. With my mortgagor permission, I have roommates who help me get by. But I don't how much longer this will go on. I have a little 1 person trailor which needs work, just in case, so I wouldn't be on the street. I could use some help if it is possible under my circumstances.

He is funny, and he is a sensitive,caring individual. He really cares about people! He loves that megaphone. He has great character. I think that he is unique, and unbeleivably talented!He loves people. Especially children. He takes time away from his own family, just to take care of people he doesn't know! Ty is so understanding of peoples problems. If he has some trouble understanding, he takes the time to ask questions, so that he can understand. I appreciate the fact that he goes to extreme lengths to care for people whom he doesn't know at all to that well.

Topeka police bicycle officer Jayme Green is getting ready to ride from Topeka to southwest Missouri to raise money for a sick relative. The 8-month-old son of Green's cousin remains in Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

"My wife and I have only one son," Green said. "It kind of got to me, what they were going through, and what we would be thinking."



Young Granton, who suffers from Severe Combined Immune Deficiency disease, remains in Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., where he is to undergo an umbilical cord blood transplant this week.



Some children with the disease remain in "bubbles" for long periods to protect them from the threat of other illnesses.



Green, 31, a bicycle patrol officer who has been on the Topeka force the past five years, said he wanted to do something to help.



"I'm on the bike unit," Green said. "I ride a lot. I thought the best way for me to help would be to take a really long ride bike ride and raise some money."



Green plans to embark on a five-day trip Monday that will lead him from Topeka through points in southeast Kansas and into southern Missouri, ending in Bolivar.



The ride will encompass 350 miles, by far the longest Green has ever taken.



Green said he is taking donations per mile or in freewill offerings from individuals, businesses and churches.



He said his cousin and the entire extended family are relying heavily on their faith at this time.

Our family watches your show every week and we thought of you to maybe help this family and little boy. This dease is very deadly. I would hate for this family to go through the same tragedy we went through in loosing one of our children in death. the show is good even bordering on greatness, need to be able to come over here and do some episodes maybe, i cant get enough of the show, wondering if they thought about doing a show revolving around a wedding and doing a house.

My name is Derek Jetter and I am Twenty years old. I have a story I would like to share with you guys so maybe you can help me out, to help someone very important to me. I know that sending in a video is what you guys perfer, but i dont own a camcorder and I didnt know any other way to get this to you and your team. My granfather has helped me out in so many ways growing up its overwhelming. I look up to him in many ways then he cant ever imagine. It just doesn't stop with me though. My mother and father had gotten divorced when i was nine. My father, brother, and myself came here to stay in Ohio. We had nowhere to go and my gandfather had taken us all in. Things didnt workout with my father and mother. At one point my brother and I had been in a foster home for a while, which made growing up a little hard, but once again my grandpa was there to take us in even when he didnt have the room to. He had three kids of his own and the three of us coming in at the same time. It was so bad that my grandpa had taken the back porch and turned it into a bedroom so we could have enough room for everyone in the house. My grandpa was a successful man at one time. He owned his own resturant when he lived in Florida until he went through a tragic event. He was hit by a car and it messed his leg up for life. It shaved half of his bone off and now he lives on disability for the rest of his life, not able to work. Today, two of his sons are moved out with kids of thier own and they have families. My brother is no longer here as well. He also has moved out and has a family of his own. Even before they were able to move out he gave them and thier families a place to live until they were able to do so. My grandpa, father, my grandpas youngest son, and I are still living here. I am due to have a little girl of my own on March 1, 2008 and start my own family. Once again my grandfather is going to give us shelter until we can get on our feet. I just dont no any way i could ever repay him. Hopefully you can help me achieve this task because I owe him a lot. Thank you so much for taking the time and patience to here what I had to say.

Hi Ty Mom just pass away this week she is very special person the love this world when friends and family and people came she gave them chance in life never turn them down. It's very hard see'ing her go. I been with her a long time naw just feel so sad that i just don't want go on and keep my mom legacy going i'm afraid they it's all going be gone. This show is basically baout a few dedicated, hard-working home- makeover team who strive to cheer up people... a lot! I think Ty is a great person, he's full of energy, always ready to work and you can tell by the way he talks to those people that he means well and really cares. He has a great heart. He's one of a kind because he's not just an ordinary star, he's a dedicated one. And he never argues with his teammates. He is always open to their ideas and he always ends up making the perfect house. Too bad he has a D.U.I cause he seems like a nice guy.

Minha mãe é cardiaca, já teve 02 isquemias e tem uma certa dificuldade de se manter em possição ereta, vive caindo. O Fernando já era surdo antes de ser atropelado e perder a memória, agora com tratamento está recuperando, mas esqueceu o básico que é ler, escrever etc... não sabe consertar nada, fica nervoso por nada, ele tem um filho adotivo com 15 anos que tem problemas mentais e ele adotou-o quando nasceu. Minha irmã Gloria, vive com os 03 filhos em casa emprestada pela sogra, porque não tem como construir a casa dela no terreno da minha mãe que é grande e dá para fazer casa para todos os filhos. Meu irmão Paulo, tem casa dele lá caindo aos pedaços, não tem como consertar e ainda ajuda o filho a cuidar dos 02 netos. Eu Só tenho uma TV de 14 polegadas que tem mais de 23 anos, porque não tenho como comprar, aliás aqui em casa o que tem menos idade é a minha filha com 15 anos o resto já ultrapassou os 20 anos, não me queixo disso, estou melhor que todos eles, a minha irmã caçula Catia casou recentemente e também mora em imóvel emprestado e ainda está estudando. O meu irmão Roberto é o que tem a casa maior de todas porém não consegue acabar por falta de verbas e tudo mais. Ainda por cima foi abandonado pela mulher que deixou os filhos e muitas dívidas para ele pagar. pobrezinho, trabalha em 2 empregos e não tem sequer para pagar o IPVA do carro e colocar gasolina nele. olha a minha familia dá um excelente programa, tem alegria, felicidade, drama, muito amor e compreensão pelo próximo. Não tenho como filmá-los para lhe enviar, mas diga-me como fazer para mandar fotos pela internet.

I would like to meet Ty and the whole Extreme Makeover Home Edition team some day so that they can give me some tips on furnishing my home. I enjoy watching the show every Sunday. I like the combination of colors for the master bedrooms and the imaginative ideas for the childrens bedrooms. The architecture and design of the houses are very beautiful.



My son is thinking of majoring in architecture, it would be nice for him to meet with Ty and get connected with people who can give him some career directions in that field.



Finally, I would like to know when the Extreme Makeover Home Edition team will be making over a house in Maryland?

I think that Ty Pennington is not only gorgeous,handsome,charming but is a great guy and with the design team they do great things for deserving families.My daughter who is six also loves him and she loves the rooms he does as his specical rooms especially if he does a room for a girl always saids love that.She thinks he just wonderful and my son laughs when Ty has his megaphone that is his favourite part of the show and my son would love a megaphone of his own as he has just as much engery as Ty does.

Ty Pennington is a guy with a will of steel and a heart of gold, two things which when combined make a great person. It's people like him that make a positive difference in the world and influence others to do the same. Here's a few factors which make him so great at what he does. He's ambitious, carrying out each project he starts and taking it to the maximum level. He's creative, always finding the right solution for the right thing at the right time. He's a hard worker, and he's committed to his work. On the show, he's had heatstroke and appendicitis knock him down and both times he was back on his feet in no time. He cares about the people he's helping and he takes their problems to heart. He does everything he can to make things better for people who have gone through a living nightmare. He makes everything fun and finds a laugh in so many instances. He must be a great guy to be around and a great friend. He lives life to the fullest. He's an inspiration because what most people don't realize is that it took him years and years of hard work to get him to where he is today. He's proved that hard work does build character and it can make a difference in your life better than anytrhing else. Also, even though he's famous, he never lets it go to his head. He doesn't do it for the fame, he does it because it's what he loves to do. And underneath all this, he's still just a great guy with a tool belt. P.S. Ty is so sweet and yummy! He was great and one the main reasons I watched trading places, I actually don't watch anymore cause he is not there. When he started his own show he proved he is more than just a pretty face! He is a great guy, great personality which comes out shining the first time you see him. Extreme Makeover home edition is great for him because it is about helping people which he is so great and you can tell how much he loves doing it and his job. I love the special rooms he does, he puts his whole self into it. He makes the show even with a great crew and se is so sexy! Yes just the fact his name is on sears stuff could make a women buy it.

I am a Husband and Father of 4, and want to give back in the manner in which TY has done for the 100\'s of people he has helped. I know he must get 1000\'s of e-mails in regards to this matter; however I am determind to get through to him in order to make a difference. My Family, and I watch every Sunday giving thanks that there is finally a show that makes a difference. Not these mindless shows that have no Family values. I would just like to speak with TY to see if there is something I can do to make an impact such as he has.

well i am a disable vetran i have had 2 operations on my r knee now it is ten times worst than before the first one now i cant even walk one block without takeing pain pills but the va. thing is that i cant work now i am about to be homeless and need help. i have applyed for section * they tell me that they will call me.Also the VA. tells me that i should be working i dont see how because i use a perment kneeBrace w/ metal hange and a cane and lots of pain meds and i have spoken to one of my Reps and he tells me that i am unemployable because of my disabilities.

I wish i could find some help because on the 3rd of the month i will be homeless

I think that Ty Pennington is so gorgeous and I love his sense of humour. He has it all: good looks, sense of humour, a kind heart, he's smart, and strong. He does a fantastic job on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I first became a fan of Ty's when I first saw him on Trading Spaces. He is my favourite person on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I love the way he dresses and I absolutely love the way he styles his hair. I think that when he goes around yelling in his megaphone is hilarious. It was so funny when in one episode of EMHE when someone pushed him in the pool and the megaphone went all screechy.

Ty is my favorite guy on EMHE and Trading Spaces by far. He is overly hyperactive a lot of the time but the show wouldn't be what it is without him. Whenever Ty goes around yelling with the megaphone it really helps lighten the mood on this otherwise depressing show. I mean depressing in a good way though, because at the same time it reminds you there are still good people in the world. I admit I am one of the many girls who is practically in love with Ty, but not just because of his good looks. I believe that he really does enjoy what he does and doesn't do it just for the money. EMHE is the show that i look forward every weekend and actually puts me in a good mood for going back to school.

Ty Pennington is the host and Team Leader of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, the main thing that Ty does on the show is his secret projects, he also gets everything ready, sends the family on vacation, and always gets people to help out. Ty is a great person he very emonional with families and show that he really cares, he gets really hyper but that is one good thing about him he brings humor to the show, and always go out of his way for the familes and his crew.
